I got a phone call from a Charlotte NC number just a bit ago. Guess who it was. Boni and Sanjee! I recognized their meows! I'm not very good with cat language, but they sounded happy, if a little tired. So I guess their trip went ok. I'm so glad. :)))) I bet they've had a good time on the trip and will really enjoy visiting Finny and Buddy. I can't wait til they get home tomorrow, though.

I'm not sure Mini's anxious for them to get home. She seems to like not having to share treats or laps or scritches. But it's just not in the cards for her to be an only cat.

Proud of My Girls

I'm a proud cat mom today. Sanjee and Boni are Official Cat Olympics 2006 Torch Relay Runners. :) I worry a little bit about them being outside to take the torch, but Pepi and Gree went with them. Pepi and Gree are very outdoors savvy and will help them cross the streets and such. Here's a picture of the girls heading out, with Sanjee carrying the torch first.

As usual, Sanjee had to be in the lead, and Boni's being her laid back self ambling along behind. LOL Yep, those are my girls. :)

Mini decided to stay home and take care of me and Grandma Cat. It's kind of quiet with just Mini around. She's promised to entertain us with some acrobatics later today after she has her nap, though. Maybe I'll go join her for a nap.

Poop on Boni! I didn't mean to be poopy. And Mom forgived me. She knows I didn't mean to be poopy. :) My tummy and stuff just was way icky. It's still kinda icky. I didn't like goin to the v-e-t neither. He squeezed all my innards to feel them! AND he poked me with a stabby thing!!! He told Mom that he thinks I got IBS. Well if this is IBS, I don't want it! But I don't want these pills neither. Mom says they'll make my tummy feel better, but I dunno. It makes me feel mean when she stuffs them down my throat. They taste bad! Blech! And so far my tummy doesn't feel better. I haven't pooped on Mom again tho. So maybe they're helpin that, but I don't wanna admit it. I bet CHICKEN would make my tummy feel allllllllllll better. At least it wouldn't make me feel mean and cranky.

It's STREP throat, not stripped throat.

Practicing medicine without a license is illegal, and instead of being paid in catnip, you'd be catnipless for your time in jail.

Keflex is an antibiotic, and taking it is not usually referred to as "doing drugs".

Kitties that post horrid photos of sick Moms are definitely in BIG TROUBLE.

If any feline tries sticking anything down my throat they are in BIGGER TROUBLE.

Latest Assignment

As a Cat Mom, I get assignments of a different color, so to speak. My latest assignment, from Boni and her Tuxedo Gangster beau, is to find (or get) a photo of Boni dancing. So far I'm still working on the finding. If that doesn't work, I'll have to get Boni to show off some of her dance steps for the camera. That should be interesting.

I feel like Alice in Wonderland sometimes.

First Boni wants me to mail her gangster boyfriend a white russian minus the russian. Well, ok, I can at least understand that cats like milk (what's left after you remove the russian). (Boni's more partial to ice cream, though.) I commented that I'd love to get hold of a white russian, and now the whole cat blogosphere is laughing at me. Boni's gangster boyfriend even said I'm weird. (He's right, but still!) Cat's ordering drinks online is not weird??? Ok, I'm weird, but so are they.

Then Boni needs help googling up aprons and organza. That is definitely on the odd side of things. Or at least, it was before I fell down this rabbit hole I seem to be in. Apparently it's normal here.

And I had to order that book written by a cat or Sanjee was going to do Something Terrible. Now I hear I will have to read it to them when it arrives. It's better than scooping the litterbox, anyway, I guess.

It's Interesting Being a Cat Mom

Being a cat mom means that I have to do some odd things sometimes. Oh by now, I'm used to most of my responsibilities as cat staff, but now and then I have to learn something new. Today I had to order a book for the girls. That's rather unusual. But their friend Max writes books, and they insisted that I order their copy right away. Rather than be known as bad cat staff, I did. They're meowing now "is it here yet?", or at least, that's what it sounds like. I hope they forget about it soon, or next time they'll want me to drive to go get it, and Max does live about 3000 miles away. I wonder if they'll understand when I explain to them that it would take even longer if I drove to get it???

For those of you kitties who have asked: I survived my tests today. Barely, I sometimes thought, but I did survive! I didn't even pass out when I thought I was going to. Woo hoo! Boni seemed particularly overjoyed about that. Mini was happy I came home to give her Temptations. And Sanjee was slightly aloof as usual since she picked my Mom as her primary human when I lived in NY for 2 years. (Hey, I'm not a bad pinch-hitter-human, though. LOL) I'll get the results in a week to 10 days. Ugh. Typical. It takes that long because someone has to type the letter to my doctor talking about the results. I used to work in the medical admin field, so I know whereof I speak. *grins*

I found a link to this quiz thing somewhere or other (sorry, I can't remember where). So I took it just for fun to see if I majored in the right thing in college. Apparently so, since I went to Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts. I passed THIS test, at any rate.
